Botox® Cosmetic, is known as a “neuromodulator” because it has the ability to temporarily paralyze muscles. This is the number one cosmetic procedure performed in the United States today. Botox® Cosmetic is popular because it is quick, effective and works well to reduce or eliminate creases in facial lines caused by overly-active muscles without resorting to surgical interventions. With Botox® Cosmetic you can target frown lines between the brows, horizontal forehead lines and the crow’s feet along the sides of the eyes. This treatment can start off as a preventative treatment option for some or as a corrective treatment for others. Optimal treatment and regular maintenance are necessary to attain the best results. We proudly offer our Botox® Cosmetic patients the opportunity to participate in Allergan’s Brilliant Distinctions® Program, a points program to receive money off future treatments (Subject to program rules)
Does it hurt?
For most patients, this procedure is relatively painless. It is often said to feel like small pinches with a slight burning sensation. The entire treatment generally takes only a few minutes.
Will I look “frozen”?
The goal for the use of a neuromodulator is to reduce visible signs of skin aging, not to create a “frozen” appearance. Nevertheless, sometimes a treatment will create a look that you don’t like. If or when this concern is expressed prior to treatment, our experienced registered nurses will counsel you about this topic. If after a treatment, they will be able to recommend adjustments to future treatments.
How soon will I see results?
It is possible that your result can be complete in several days. By two weeks, the result is final. Therefore, if it is your first time receiving a Botox treatment with your service provider, we highly encourage scheduling a 2 week follow up to view your results and see if any further treatment is desired. *Additional charges apply if additional treatment is needed
How long will it last?
Most patients will find that Botox® Cosmetic treatments last around 3-4 months, but some even benefit for up to 5 months. Still, this can vary from treatment to treatment.
Botox and other treatments
Filler and Botox are commonly injected in the same sitting, if not treating a mutual area.
Laser Hair Reduction treatment to a mutually treated area should be done a minimum of 2 weeks apart, either before or after. Skincare treatments should be done a minimum of 48 hours before/after your Botox treatment. R
